Birthday season is just about over around here. A good thing, as I need to get some work done.

• open_gem - Gem extension to make it simple to open installed gems in your text editor. I've mentioned this before, but it's still gaining useful features and I find I'm using it daily.


• Ruby 1.8.6pl383 released - New patch level for Ruby 1.8.6, basically bug fixes.


• Cross Compare of PostgreSQL 8.4, SQL Server 2008, MySQL 5.1 - Seems to be fairly balanced.


• Sequel Pro 0.9.6 now available! - Open source MySQL GUI that's coming along nicely.


• Skulpt - Client-side in-browser python implementation.


• What's New in Edge Rails: The BugMash Edition - There was quite a bit of activity last weekend, thanks to the BugMash.


• Mockup Magnets - Tool for doing UI design on magnetic whiteboards.
